All articles in the Journal of Animal Behaviour and Biometeorology (ISSN 2318-1265) are published in full open access. In order to provide free access to readers, and to cover the costs of copyediting, typesetting, long-term archiving (DOI), and journal management, an Article Processing Charge (APC) applies to papers accepted after peer review aid by authors or their institutions:

- Research Article and Review Article: 600 USD (American Dollars)

- Short Communication and Mini-Review: 500 USD (American Dollars)

​Please note that for manuscripts submitted after 30 June 202' an Article Processing Charge of 600 USD applies.

Payment methods:  

• Brazilian authors: payment through PayPal, payment slip, or transfer bank

• Authors outside Brazil: payment through PayPal or transfer bank

• There are no additional charges based on color, pages, figures, or other elements. There is also no article submission fee

• *An additional 7% is charged when the payment is done by PayPal. This additional refers to the PayPal fee. 

• *An additional 10% is charged when the payment is done by International Bank Transfer. This additional refers to the Bank fees.
